ARUGA MEDIA

A lead generation project by Pro-hacker Limited

Had an email from us? Here is who we are.

Aruga Media is a lead generation project run by Pro-hacker Limited. It promotes the services of Aruga Cyber, a cyber security company. This page says who we are, where we found your details, and how to stop hearing from us.

Who we are

Run by Pro-hacker. Promoting Aruga Cyber.

Pro-hacker Limited is a cyber security consultancy based in Manchester. It runs Aruga Media, sends the emails, and is responsible for the details held about you.

Aruga Media is not a separate company. It is a lead generation project: it sends emails, articles and assessments to businesses that may find the services of Aruga Cyber Ltd useful, and introduces those that are interested. If you reply to a message from an aruga-media.com address, you are talking to a person at Pro-hacker.

Aruga Cyber provides security monitoring, incident response and related services to organisations in the UK. What it does, and for whom, is set out at arugacyber.com.

Why you heard from us

We wrote to your business, not to you personally.

We contact organisations we believe Aruga Cyber's services are relevant to. We choose them using information that is already public, and we write to people in their business role.

Where we look

The Companies House register, your company's own website, and public technical records about your email domain.

What we keep

Your organisation's details, and for a named contact: name, job title and business contact details, with a note of where each came from.

What we do not do

We do not buy consumer lists or write to personal email addresses. We pass your details to Aruga Cyber only if you tell us you want to hear more, and to nobody else for marketing.

We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in telling businesses about services that may help them. You can object at any time, and we will stop. The full detail is in our privacy notice.

Your choices

Telling us to stop takes one email.

  1. 01

    Stop the emails

Reply to any message from us with the word "unsubscribe", or write to [email protected]. We will not contact you again, and we keep only the minimum needed to make sure of that.

  2. 02

See or correct what we hold

Ask us what we hold about you and where it came from, and we will tell you. If it is wrong, we will correct it.

  3. 03

    Have it deleted

Ask us to delete your details and we will, keeping only a record that you asked not to be contacted.

  4. 04

    Take it further

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would like the chance to put it right first.
